Love

If I live in a house of spotless beauty with everything in its place, but have not love--I am a housekeeper, not a homemaker.

If I have time for waxing, polishing, and decorative achievements but have not love, my children learn of cleanliness--not godliness.

Love leaves the dust in search of a child's laugh.

Love smiles at the tiny fingerprints in a newly cleaned window.

Love wipes away the tears before it wipes up the spilled milk.

Love picks up the child before it picks up the toys.

Love is present through the trials.
Love reprimands, reproves, and is responsive.
Love crawls with the baby, walks with the toddler, runs with the child, then stands aside to let the youth walk into adulthood.

As a mother there is much I must teach my child, but the greatest of all is love.

Thanks for the reminder. I guess it's okay to have a little clutter in my house, as long as I take the time to play with the boy.

What a great reminder. We used to have an entire flock of peacocks behind our house and could sometimes hear them scampering across the roof. They have been gone for quite sometime, maybe they flew to your neck of the woods(just kidding) What a great picture of you and Judah, and all that seafood looks great! Blaine and Joe are headed home tomorrow. Jackie

What a lovely poem. It melts my heart. It made me appreciate more my mom. More than anything else, she never failed to make us feel loved. Unconditional love it is. I salute moms. I salute my mom and I salute you.
