wow, great photo, i love old bridges. what part of the peach state, I was raised in a little place near Rome and now have a home in Blairsville.
There was still one of these bridges in Blairsville, road bridge, when we bought our place but has since been replaced with cement since the old one was declared unsafe.
Read some of my old post about my life as a child, you might like them.
I am quite the detective, I now know your husband is a soldier at Ft Gordon, to be truthful, I read your comments at Melissa's place. FYI, I got a tear, but you will learn that I am an old softie. Hard shell but soft heart. Anyone that loves a soldier is top notch in my book.
Now reading your comments I have to go introduce myself to cats-goats-quotes to see where her photo came from...
To answer your question, no I did not receive either of the medals shown so far, almost all of mine are on my banner, I do have two other medals that were issued by the state of Maryland and Florida, no photo for the banner.
The reason for the post is to show people what soldiers are waring on there uniforms and that they mean something. For example how many people would know what Sgt James Holtom has on his uniform, I know but most people do not, read my banner, it says this is a place of learning useful and useless information, so there you go.
FYI, I added you to my friends list so you will be hearing from me, we will be up in those cool mountains in early May, you and you family would be welcome to stop by for a tall glass of iced tea.
I love to see those old RR bridges. Until I was on the train going over it and suddenly what seemed sturdy from land seemed flimsy in a train! Obviously I survived because they are built well!
I do not know what to tell you about the flag, I just posted a new one on top of my blog, right click, save image as my pictures, upload to your side bar. should work, this one was one try, maybe you need to try again
Those are some cool pictures. I love trains and related items. There are some old train bridges near my house, I should have gotten out and taken some photos of them but was busy rearranging the house lol. A good post.
