Ideas

Sweet Potatoes were .25 cents a pound at Walmart, so I bought 6lbs of them. The truth is though I have never bought sweet potatoes before, so I'm not quite sure what to do with them! I don't like sweet potato casserole, so that is out.
What is your favorite way to eat sweet potatoes?

hehe...I have never bought sweet potatoes before until yesterday so I didn't know what to do with them either! Tonight, I made sweet potato fries in our deep fryer. YUMMY!!!!!! You can put salt on them, or you can eat them as a dessert with cinnamon and sugar on them.
Hubby says they also work well mashed, just like regular mashed potatoes. I've never tried that though.

I love sweet potatoes! Cook them like you would a baked potato, then cut in half and put butter, sugar, and cinnamon on them. Not the healthiest way, but good!

Yuck. I detest sweet potatoes. Yuck.

However, my mom loves them! She cuts them into fries and either bakes them in the over or does them in the deep fryer and loves them. The fries are almost edible when fried. Almost.

You can add a diced sweet potato to most curry recipes. Just google curry recipes, and you should find something.

Another good idea is turn some into baby food. :-)

Chicken curry with chunked sweet potatoes --- so very, very good.

I make a sweet potato casserole that is sweet, not the kind with marshmallows on top, if that's what you're thinking of. Mine has sugar and butter in it, then on the top is brown sugar and crushed pecans. My family loves it. And yes, it is sweet.

Adam LOVES sweet potatoes (he's 8 months already). They freeze nicely when pureed and frozen in cubes for baby.

I LOVE sweet potatoes, but not with anything sweet. Gross. They're perfect baked like a regular potato with lots of butter, salt and pepper.

They're also good roasted tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper.

Don't add sugar or honey and cinnamon. That's gotta be a sin.
