Back Home

We are back, and have tons of pictures from the trip!! We had an amazing time!! We stayed in a cabin just outside of Helen, GA. Helen is definitely a town to be checked out. It is the funniest little town - all cutesy and matching buildings to look like a European town but most of the stores are selling cheap 'made in China' products that you could find at any flea market. Definitely got the feeling that the locals were trying to get any dollar they could out of the tourists!! We only spent a little bit of time in the actual town, and it was a fun experience. We ate at an amazing cafe called The International Cafe. They served Italian, French, German and American food. Mmm yum!! As an appetizer you can choose three different types of international cheese and they serve it with crackers, pumpernickel loaves and apple. It was incredibly good!
We spent a good deal of time just driving around the surrounding mountains and national parks. Absolutely gorgeous scenery!! And the roads are so steep and curvy! I got a little bit of motion sickness going up one mountain, but other than that it was a lot of fun. For some reason though we didn't take many scenic pictures!!
The best part by far though was our cabin!! We rather 'blindly' picked a place online to stay at, and we were in awe of how nice it was when we got there!! It had a hot tub, jacuzzi, a three headed shower, a pool table, an air hockey table, and a fire place.

Here is what our cabin looked like from the outside:

Here is the inside:
The bedroom and jacuzzi with a waterfall
The pool table:
The Living Room:

The Kitchen:
The Shower:
The Hot tub on the back porch - it had a waterfall too!:
Paul and Judah in the Jacuzzi:
Judah just loved the water!! He spent a lot of time in here:
He also spent a lot of time in his swing:
He loves his swing!:
We played a lot of pool together:

Paul beat me most of the time:
Just chillin':
This was the funniest thing ever! It was a whole bunch of run down trailer homes with a goat tied up outside! The goat is between the two white trailers:
Judah and his daddy:
Those are some of the cute buildings in Helen GA:
Me and my baby:
We walked through the town and I was carrying Jude in this carrier. Almost everyone stopped us to see Judah and then they all had to comment on how squished and uncomfortable he must be in there... sigh... :
This man was carving bowls out of a block of wood - it takes him three days to complete one dish!:
The three of us:

Sleepy little dude:
He woke up when we sat down at the cafe! :
The cafe was right by the river - it was really pretty!:
Paul made me scented soaps!! He also got me the sea shells, candle and the necklace as an anniversary gift:

Did I tell you right, it is truly God's country. If you check muffin53 you will see our plans for return. We have scheduled our travel around an event in Pensacola . Check out my post SAY WHAT and you will understand. I do love those mountains, if you look at some of my early post you will see my roots are deeply embedded there.......
