Color on the Table

While on a family trip to Lowe's a month or so ago I found a huge roll of Contractors paper (about $9) and had the idea to buy it and use it for our Thanksgiving 'tablecloth' - complete with crayons incorporated into the centerpiece so everyone could color along with dinner.

I couldn't wait for Thanksgiving and last week I used some of it to test out my idea - it was a huge hit with the boys (Paul included!)
Monday evening we had four of our friends over and they loved it too - in fact they covered almost the entire surface of our table with their drawings.

The orange dude here is my favorite!


We had some riddles.

And one of the guests drew his plate of food - but got his fork and spoon on the wrong side :)

We played a few different games and kept score right on the table - it was lots of fun!
And cleanup was a breeze, we just rolled it up and threw it away.

I am definitely using this for our Thanksgiving meal, and probably several more meals between now and then! :)

Judah Funnies - a collection

The other day Judah passed some gas and I said in a shocked voice "Judah, what was that?!"
Quick as a wink he said "I was shooting bad guys."
For the next two days every time he passed gas he informed me he was shooting bad guys.

Judah loves to chat to his stuffed animals once he is put in bed for the night. He tells them what he did during the day, tells them what their body parts are (and *ahem* wonders why certain body parts are missing), he sings them songs, he pretends they are bad guys and he shoots them or he pretends he is the bad guy and makes them shoot him.
The other evening he was talking with them and I said "Judah please be quiet."
I heard him tell his stuffed animals; "Oh no. Mommy said be quiet. Now hush."

Judah was in bed and he called out to me saying "OH NO MOMMY!! My (stuffed animal) pig just ate my bed!! MY BED IS ALL GONE!!"

Judah was eating a peanut butter sandwich and he said "Mommy, it's all gone. Can I have more peanut butter for my bread?"
He had licked all the peanut butter off his bread :)

Me, while eating something good: "Mmm, this is yummy."
Judah: "No mommy. 'M' says 'mmm'."

Judah Funnies

I adore Judah's developing vocabulary and grasp on when and how to use words. He LOVES to talk and delights us daily with funny responses or random one liners that he throws at us. There's no way I can keep up with them all, but here are a few that I have written down recently;

When Judah wants the window rolled down he says “I want the window off the car.” When he wants the window rolled up he says "Put the window on please."

One day we were sitting beside each other and he passed gas. He looked all around and then to me and said “Did you hear it?”!

Judah hurt his foot and was telling me it hurt and then said “Put on diaper rash cream?”

I was singing him a song while we were waiting in the car and he said “No mommy. Judah no like your singing.”

Easy to Please

Judah: "Momma I want some food."
Me: "What kind of food would you like?"
Judah: "Food on a plate please."

Sticky Fun

They got stickers 2 days ago in the mail from my mum. They had an enormous amount of fun putting them all over their body. I am still finding stickers hidden on them.

Which is to tell you, I haven't bathed them since Tuesday before mail time.

Playing

My great Aunt and Uncle (so the boys great-great!) were here a few weeks ago (and I didn't take a single picture!! I can't believe I forgot!) They brought Wesley this Jolly Jumper and he loves it!
I think Judah is slightly jealous of his brothers toy, however he gets great delight in swinging him in this and/or twisting him up and letting him unspin. Wezzy is delighted by the attention :)
