Updates For Judah's Book

--I keep a word document of the boys updates and funnies, I've never shared them on here before, but I may start.--

Judah hasn't seen Paul since Saturday.
This morning he saw Paul's pajama pants laying on the floor and he got excited and said "DADDY!" I was about to tell him that daddy was at work when he picked up the pajama pants, stroked them lovingly and said "Hi daddy!"

Judah brushes his teeth about five times a day. It's one of his favorite activities. This morning he brought me his toothbrush and the diaper rash cream and told me he wanted to brush his teeth. I'm rather grateful he didn't try loading his toothbrush on his own!

Judah definitely takes after me when it comes to sleeping... if there's something better to do why bother with sleep?! Last night he was feeling sick, and Paul wasn't expected home until very late, so I took Judah into our room and laid in our bed with him. Every 5-10 minutes he would either make a funny noise or reach up and "beep" my nose trying to make me laugh. He would put his hands on either side of my mouth and feel if I was smiling at him, and if I was it just egged him on. It was too funny for me to not laugh.
He did this for over an hour and a half! I eventually took him back to his crib to fall asleep on his own, and within one minute of being in his own crib, all alone in his room, he was fast asleep.

When Judah cleans up his toys - which he does very well when asked, but not at all if he's not asked! - he almost always breaks into song, singing "Clean up, clean up, everybody clean up..." and he sings it over and over and over until it's all cleaned up.

Judah is mimicking the things I say and do to Wezzy. This week I have heard a lot of "No, no Wezzy. No, no." And if Wesley is crying and I can't get to him right away Judah will sit beside him and pat his stomach.
If Wesley is sleeping in another room Judah will ask (with great concern!) "Where is Wezzy?"

Update

Our plumbing got backed up.
When I flushed the toilet stuff came up the shower.
When I ran the dishwasher our laundry room floor got covered with an inch of water.
When the washing machine was running the kitchen and surrounding carpets got a soaking.
I ran all these things at the same time, and discovered it all within seconds of each other.
Not a happy moment.

That evening we ate supper by candle light so that we didn't have to see the mess and to help disguise the smell.

The next day Paul was off work and he surprised me with an hour long massage at the local School of Massage. I've been to a few different spas before for massages that were a lot more expensive than this one, and I must say - the student was amazing! The whole place is set up nicely. They have the music and lighting and the student aimed to please. I'd definitely go back to the School of Massage over a regular Spa. The *only* negative thing I could possibly say about it is that the rooms were just thick curtains, not actual rooms. It wasn't a big deal to me, but some people might care.

After the massage I went to our local Goodwill. They had all their childrens clothes for $1! There were a whole bunch of like-new jeans from Gap and The Children's Place so I bought Judah a few pairs in his next size. I found some cool things for myself and a few books for the boys. I forgot how much I love second hand stores :) It's not so fun with little boys, but a couple hours in there alone is a lot of fun!

We have been sick the past few days - Wesley is currently fighting a fever, Judah seems to have a sore throat and a cough and Paul and I have sore throats and just feel miserable.
It's not a whole lot of fun, and we hope it goes away soon!

Hide-n-Seek

The other day I momentarily lost Judah in the house. I couldn't find him anywhere, and he wasn't answering me when I called. I eventually found him fully clothed sitting in the (empty!) bathtub, eating a banana and playing with his rubber ducks. He'd even pulled the shower curtain closed. He smiled at me and said "Hi! Bath?"
We almost exclusively shower the boys rather than give them baths, so it is a huge treat for Judah when he gets to have a bath.

While Spencer and Steven were visiting this past week Judah took to calling me by my first name - 'cept he couldn't get it quite right and it would come out as "JAY-CA-CA." We laughed a little bit more than we should have and now HE laughs as he says my name. But he switches back to mommy - or "my mommy" - pretty quickly since "Jay-ca-ca" doesn't seem to hear him when he talks. :)

It is so much fun to see Judah's thoughts coming out as he is getting more and more words added to his vocabulary. The other night he was eating some spicy sausage and he turned to our friend Blaine, with eyes wide open, and said "BLAINE! It's hot!"
He does love hot food, and will eat stuff that I won't. It makes Paul so proud.

Pile up!

See?! He really does love his uncle.

My brother and his friend - who is practically my brother anyway - came to visit this week.
We had tons of fun :)

Spenny is becoming a child-lovin'-guy. So cute.
He even got puked on and didn't die.

Wesley loved his uncle.
Judah did too. But the pictures are still in the camera.

They went to this old Train Depot with me so I could see if I liked it for future photo shoots.
Steven was a great model.
And then Spencer took this shot of me.
I love the look of the Train Depot and will definitely be back there!!
I did a photo shoot on base this week - you can check out the images HERE.

Friday was spent exploring the military base for locations for future photo shoots.
I think we hit a jackpot of a location in the paintball field where they had the abandoned tank, helicopter and an airplane! I love the look the equipment inspires and can't wait to do a real photo shoot here!

Sugar Baby

This is why you should never leave groceries on the table to put away later... he was up for three hours past his bedtime, hyper as anything.

Paul walked into the room and Judah looked up at him, grinned, and said
"MMM YUMMY!"

Uh oh!

Guess who got caught playing in the presents?!

Holidays

There is something so completely wrong about this commercial - a credit card that will help you spend your money more wisely. It's a pretty ingenious way to market a credit card. It looks appealing, sounds appealing, and yet the bottom line is that it is still a credit card and it is enabling you to purchase things you couldn't otherwise afford.

We had a great Thanksgiving. Paul's parents and brother were here for the long weekend, and on Thanksgiving day itself we had some church friends over for a meal too. It was fun.

I did three photo shoots in three days - one shoot being for total strangers. That was pretty exciting.

I didn't hit any sales on Black Friday this year - the past two years we have been up before the sun, standing in lines- but not this year. Something about having a baby that wakes up every 3 hours around the clock kind of kills ones enthusiasm for willingly loosing sleep.
I did quickly stop by our local Goodwill to see if they had their items on sale (I'd heard rumors...) but the rumors proved to be false and nothing was on sale.

Now that Thanksgiving is over I think I will get our tree up. Before Thanksgiving I kept opening our bins of Christmas decorations and Paul would tell me to close them up and not even think about decorating. But Thanksgiving is now over, our company is gone, and Paul is out of town for the week... I could get this place decked out while he is gone :)
